Hank Edwards

Hank Edwards is currently a first year CBR teacher at Olathe Northwest and serving as the Junior Varsity head coach.


     Coach Edwards has experience coaching at many different levels, and within various programs. High school experience includes assistant Varsity at Lawrence Free state, and Assistant Varsity at Shawnee Mission North. Prospect team experience includes Building Champions, KC Barnstormers, and the KC Sluggers. At the college level, Hank coached at Park University, and worked with all aspects of the defense and offense, specializing in developing catchers and hitters.


    Hank played baseball, and graduated from Shawnee Mission South, in 2000. He earned a scholarship to play at Butler County, and earned an additional scholarship to go on to play at Park University, where he performed as the starting catcher, designated hitter, and occasionally first base.


    At Park University, he led the team in RBI’s, homeruns, and slugging percentage and held a conference leading batting average of .494 and a .848 slugging percentage. He was Awarded First Team All-Conference Catcher and Second Team All-American. After his senior season, Hank was invited to various professional tryouts, but moved in the direction of coaching.


    Hank received a Bachelors of Science at Park University, and went on to attain a Masters Degree in Education, from Pitt State University.
