ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS and PROCEDURES
STEP 1: The following items are required by Olathe District Schools for enrollment and must be received, reviewed, and processed by the registrar before receiving an appointment with a counselor.
- Proof of residency in ONW attendance area (housing contract or rental agreement)
- Official up-to-date immunization records
- Copy of birth certificate
- Unofficial copy of transcript identifying all previous accredited high school coursework, grades, and credit earned to date.
- Copy of any special needs records if applicable (IEP, 504)
- Completed District Student Information Sheet*
- Signed Release of Records Request*
- Completed Proof of Identity*
- Completed Certificate of Transfer (if applicable)
- Completed Affidavit of Residency (if applicable)*These items may be picked up in Student Services at ONW.
STEP 2: Please plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to enrollment appointment with the counselor to complete the enrollment documents with the registrar. Counselors are not able to begin the enrollment process until the registrar has inspected enrollment materials for completeness and assigned a student identification number. Call 780-7157 to make an appointment with a counselor.
STEP 3: After schedule is finalized, you will be directed to the book-keeper to make arrangements for registration fees.
STEP 4: After the completion of the above, you will be directed back to the registrar where the student will receive his/her locker number and student ID badge. If arriving during the school year, the student and parent(s) will also be taken on a building tour by an assigned student. Assuming that all steps are complete, required immunizations are up to date, the student may then begin classes at ONW.
