Help Stray Pets Find a Home!

Olathe West Veterinary Care located at 100 S Parker is trying to start up a monthly car wash at their location to help raise funds for the many stray animals they take in as well as help throughout the community. We will also have an adoption tent on site with a few dogs and cats that are ready to find their fur-ever homes.  The “Car Wash for Cats, Detail for Dogs” events would be a great opportunity for anyone who has a passion for animals as well as give students the chance to volunteer for a great local cause.   I understand that several clubs/societies have volunteer requirements and Dr. Hadley Warwick, the clinic owner, is happy to sign off on their time helping out.

The first one is to be held on June 2nd in the clinic parking lot from 1pm to 4pm.   While the event is new, we hope to have one monthly and then broaden the horizons to semi-monthly once we get enough volunteers together and continue this event as long as weather allows.   Any assistance you might be able to provide us with spreading the word via notification systems, emails, fliers, etc., would be greatly appreciated.   Students are more than welcome to bring any friends or family that would like to help, too!  The more, the merrier.

Anyone interested in volunteering for this event is welcome to call the clinic at 913.829.3275.
