FHSU is proud to announce the second annual Hispanic College Institute (HCI). – the only program of its kind in the state of Kansas. We are excited to see a growing population of Hispanic and Latino students and we are taking the initiative to engage with this generation.
This is a unique opportunity to assist high school sophomore and junior Hispanic and Latino students to pursue their educational and personal goals. The FHSU Hispanic College Institute will be help June 21 – 24, 2017 on the Fort Hays State University campus and is open to all 2018 and 2019 high school grads regardless of their future college destination. It is a 4 day/3 night program uniquely designed to serve our future leaders of Kansas. Hispanic and Latino professional from across the United States will be participating as mentors, role models and presenters for the 150 students selected to attend.
This FREE institute will give students the opportunity to gain skills in a a variety of areas:
- Critical Thinking
- Professional development and networking
- Confidence building
- College admissions and financial processes
- Building and fostering a supportive community
The Fort Hays State University Hispanic College Institute is a great opportunity for all Hispanic and Latino students to engage with a supportive team and gain lifelong skills that will help them succeed in today’s world after high school.
