Olathe Northwest Gives Back to Slain Officer’s Family

Last week during parent-teacher conferences, the Olathe Northwest ceramics and culinary classes teamed up to sell cups and drink mixes for the Master Deputy Brandon Collins Memorial fund. Master Deputy Brandon Collins was killed by a suspected drunk driver on September 11, 2016. Ceramics teacher, Tim Barnes, became interested in the fundraiser when two students informed him of the memorial fund. Everyone involved in this fundraiser was impacted in a positive way, and they raised around $1,400 dollars. There are still some cups available for sale. If you are interested in purchasing one, e-mail Tim Barnes.
