The College Blvd., Lone Elm Rd. to Woodland Rd., improvement project is on schedule for completion in Spring 2017, weather permitting!
The contractor is currently installing sidewalks and retaining walls on the south side of College Blvd. Once this work is complete, the contractor will resume working on the medians, including landscaping and irrigation installation. Prior to work beginning on the medians, traffic will be shifted to the outside lanes on College Blvd. The roadway will remain open to one lane of traffic in each direction at all times. This work is expected to last approximately five to six weeks.
In addition to the work on College Blvd, the contractor has begun work on the southbound right turn lane at the intersection of College Blvd. and Woodland Rd. This construction may, at times, result in a daily southbound lane reduction on Woodland Rd. between 8:30 and 4 p.m. This work is expected to last approximately five to six weeks and will run simultaneously with the median work mentioned above.
Following completion of the sidewalks, medians, and the right turn lane, the two westbound lanes of College Blvd. will be milled and a final asphalt overlay will be placed on all four lanes of the roadway. This work is expected to last approximately one week and will tentatively occur in mid-April.
