Wild night at the Nest as the Ravens battled the Hawks

The Girls and Boys Basketball teams battled crosstown rival Olathe East Friday night. It was an evening full of exciting basketball, a state championship banner ceremony for Girls Volleyball and Gymnastics and the introduction of new Head Football Coach, Aaron Hafner.

The Lady Ravens and the Lady Hawks got the fun started with a double overtime thriller. The game was back and forth all night with the Lady Ravens dropping a heartbreaker, 71-63. Christen Curry had a big night with 20 points. The boys game was just as intense as Olathe East got a tip-in at the buzzer to send it to overtime. The game remained tight throughout the extra period, but Jackson Nicodemus hit an acrobatic layup with five seconds left to edge the Hawks, 53-52. Olathe East had a chance to win it, but the ball just bounced off the rim.
