Video Story

e-Communication gives students an intensive course of study in one of our 5 "strands" or areas of concentration.

Students may choose Graphic Design, Animation, Web Design, or Media Production (either Entertainment or Convergence Journalism).

Freshmen start with a year-long one-hour class called eXplore9. Sophomores take the 2-hour Digital Works course in the Fall, and then move on into their chosen area of concentration (strand) after that.

e-Communication is an Olathe Northwest High School 21st Century program, empowering emerging media creators, writers, designers, film makers, animators, and editors to work every day on countless media projects.

Surrounded by a unique educational setting, incorporating real world experiences designed to reflect the needs of the entertainment, media and arts industries through an innovative learning environment that is both immersive and project based, students are encouraged to explore their creativity and artistic passion through our fundamental goal of uniting art and technology.
