Halloween is just around the corner, and everyone has different plans for their Halloween. Everyone loves going out and getting tons of candy. Skittles is the overall favorite candy for the freshmen class. Skittles are a yummy treat that is filled with an outburst of fruity flavor. There are many different types and flavors of Skittles. For one gram of Skittles is about 250 calories.
The sophomores favorite candy is candy corn. Candy corn is a triangular shaped, yellow, orange and white candy. According to the National Confectioners Association, candy companies will produce nearly 35 million pounds of candy corn each year. You can get candy corn in many different colors depending on where you shop.
The favorite candy for the juniors is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Reese’s started out with just a simple chocolate with peanut butter but now they have so many possibilities you can get when choosing a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. You can get the regular peanut butter cup, Reese’s Pieces, the Peanut Butter Cup with white chocolate or dark chocolate. Even for those people that want to have less fat in their food, they can get the Reese’s Whipps.
The seniors had a tie between Sour Patch Kids and Starburst. Sour Patch Kids are a soft jelly candy sanded with a sweet and sour coating. The candies are shaped of little frizzy haired kids. They come in four traditional flavors: raspberry, orange, lime and lemon. Starbursts are little pieces of candy with a fruity flavor. For every three starburst’s it is 160 calories.
Halloween night is a night filled with candy, family, friends, parties and fun. Candy is a great party of the night but don’t forget that you will have school the next morning and don’t need to get sick, so be smart in your candy eating and be safe.
