We all love the chocolate goodness of the Snickers bar, but recently the Mars candy company has come to the conclusion that they will be downsizing the portion size of their delicious King-size product in an effort to make the bar a tad healthier for consumers. With the downsizing of the calories in the bars as well, the Mars company claims that the taste will be the same as they are hoping to sacrifice little taste in order to lower the bars to a 250-calorie limit. Junior Cody Connelly has loved the Snickers bar since his first bite.
“I really hope the new Snickers bar doesn’t taste too different in 2013, but I am glad that efforts are being made to make the tasty treat a little healthier,” said Connelly.
Not all of Mars candies will be forced to downsize. Other favorites such as the Twix bar and M&M’s already fall within the 250-calorie limit. Will this calorie difference change candy forever?
