On Wednesday, the ONW Battlebots team, Adrenaline, left for Miami, FL in order to participate in the annual national competition.  There are eight seniors who will be taking part in the festivities and they all expect to bring home the gold. Battlebots is one of the senior projects that Aerospace and Engineering students can participate in. Brett Siegrest, Sterling Embers, Jessica Krutty, Tyler Beller, Tyler Day, Scott Fischer, Alejandra Ruiz and Mitch Willis are the senior leaders on the team heading into the competition in Miami.

“I’m really excited about going to Miami and participating in the competition. I can’t wait to see the robots go at it,” said senior Mitch Willis.

“It will be an awesome experience. A great trip to cap off my senior year” said senior Tyler Beller.

Throughout the course of the year, the Battelbots team has been working on a final project for this competition. The team has created a unique, innovative robot called Thor to showcase in Miami. Thor will go head to head against other robots from around the nation. The team has spent countless hours in and out of class in order to perfect their craft. Hopefully the team can do well in the competition and make ONW proud.battlebots
