Mark is entering his 14th year has a Head Softball Coach with the last 9 at Olathe Northwest. During this time, he has achieved a record of 152-39 at ONW. Mark has helped lead his teams to five league championships, eight regional championships, the Elite Eight in 2001 in Georgia, and a state runner-up in 2008. In 2009, Olathe Northwest went 25-0 and won the 6A state title; it is the first state title in ONW’s school history. In 2011 they won their second 6A state title. Coach Mahoney has been named “Coach of the Year” seven times during his tenure, including “Olathe Coach of the Year” in 2008, and “Kansas Softball Coach of the Year”, and Midwest Sectional coach of the Year in 2009. Mark teaches Physical Education and Health at Olathe Northwest High School. He resides in Olathe with his wife, Tara, and two children, Tayler and Addyson.
